Evolution of the Wedding Dance

Ok, so if you added WeddingAces to your blog feed like I told you to do yesterday (you didn't yet, did you. . . it's ok, I understand. . . do it now though!) you'll have already seen this, but I want to share anyway because it is SO much fun - check out the Evolution of the Wedding Dance that Shezad posted today:

Never in a million years could I have done this, but I would absolutely love to see something like it in person :)

We're Moved In

Ilario, baci and I, along with a few near-dead house plants are officially moved in!  So please make sure that any correspondence is sent to our new address in Cuyahoga Falls.  Ilario and I will be sending "We've Moved" cards out to friends and family soon.  For clients, the new address is in my signature at the bottom of e-mails and on all estimates, invoices and contracts.

Thanks so much for your patience during this crazy move :)

It's Official - I am a WeddingAce!

In the middle of April, I was contacted by WeddingAces, an online community where bridal professionals provide brides with all the tips and knowledge they have about planning a wedding.  They asked me to be one of those expert professionals and of course I said HECK YES!!  And today it's official, I am a WeddingAce!  Check out the introductory post they did about me today.  I'll be posting at least two times a week so be sure to add WeddingAces to your daily blog reading.

New House!

I apologize for being slightly distant recently, but we finally closed on our new house (we made the offer on January 31st - OMG it's taken forever!!!)!  We're moving in this Saturday and I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!  So, please forgive me for having what I will call "Moving Brain" because my noggin cells are literally fried :)

Once we get settled I promise to provide all sorts of fabulous pictures, but in the meantime divulge in this "before" picture I took while waiting on the house to close.

VOTING DIRECTIONS - The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards

It isn't the easiest thing in the world to vote for Erin & Marshall's Lakeside Wedding on The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards so the ALWAYS AMAZING Erin created directions to help:

1. Create a log in here. If you already have a log in for The Knot it won't work so create a new one just for this under "Share Your Comments".

2. Search for Erin and Marshall's Wedding. There is a brown bar near the top-middle portion of the page and a little search box all the way to the right of the page. Search for "Cursaro" - if you search for Erin, Marshall, or Lakeside Wedding, you get a billion weddings, Cursaro narrows it down to only their wedding.

3. Now you can view Erin & Marshall's Lakeside wedding (finally, right?!?!?) :)

4. Here's where it really counts - make sure to vote that you think these are the best photos by clicking YES in the pale orange box! Also, click on the number of hearts you think the wedding deserves - so if you love it (which how can you not?!?!), please click on the 5th heart so it will be among the highest rated!

You can get directly to the page here, but finding it again once you create a log-in is difficult without following the steps above.

Please feel free to pass these directions along to friends and family as well as post them wherever you'd like - blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.! Thank you in advance for your help :)

Thanks so much Erin!

Erin & Marshall 09.06.08 - Part Three {Spring Lake, Michigan}

I haven't had a chance to post all of the AMAZING images Studio 131 and Brandy J Photography took of Erin and Marshall's September wedding and stationery so I thought since I just submitted their wedding to The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards that this would be the perfect time to show everything off :)

The gorgeous rings and bridal bouquet by Skeeter Parkhouse (the bride's cousin) at Eastern Floral in Grand Haven, Michigan on top of the bride and groom's pocket invitation.  All handwritten calligraphy was done by me :)
A full view of the charcoal pocket invitations with matching metallic eggplant envelopes.
The top half of the invitation when opened and the wrap-around label addressed envelopes.  The couple's fun "EM & ME" monogram continued throughout all of the wedding's details.
The bottom half of the invitation when opened - it held the Directions and Reception inserts as well as the RSVP postcard.
A full view of the Reception insert.
An amazing shot of the tear-inducing ceremony off the coast of Spring Lake in Michigan.
Coordinating programs.
The super hot bride and her smokin' bridesmaids - Erin's gown was Allure and the girl's dresses were by Dessy.  I LOVE their fun sunglasses that they donned after the ceremony!
The handsome groom in a tuxedo by Men's Wearhouse with his gorgeous bride!
This is hands down my favorite shot EVER !  Erin looks so amazing - hair and makeup by Red's Salon, Giao Nguyen veil (WHICH I LOVE!!!) and earrings by Monet (purchased at Macy's).
The handwritten escort cards - the guest's last initial was faded into the background making it easier to find their names at the reception.
The table numbers - I used charcoal pockets that we had left over - each table number had a lyric from a Smashing Pumpkins song (Erin and Marshall's favorite band).
Erin used these Thank You stickers and purple ribbon to add a little flair to the tea lights that were on each table.
The place cards were my favorite part of the stationery.  They were so much fun - the picture in each corner denoted the meal choice the guest made on their RSVP (cow = prime rib, chicken = herb-stuffed chicken, carrot = vegetarian lasagna, jumping kid = children's meal)!
Erin had the most amazing idea for her favors - these unique "old school records" were actually mix CDs!  The mix consisted of the song the couple chose as their first dance (The Smashing Pumpkin's "Luna"), as well as the first dance songs of many of their friends and family!!  It was such a great way to pull important people into the details :)

The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards

The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards started yesterday and baci's work is part of it with Erin & Marshall's Lakeside Wedding!

Everyone rocked SO much by voting for baci on the Akron-Canton HOT LIST (we're still winning, but don't stop voting yet - the contest doesn't end until May 8th!!)!! If we can get the same response with The Knot's Real Wedding Awards, I think we have a chance :)

So please, pretty please, go vote for Erin & Marhall's Lakeside Wedding for the Best Wedding Photos in The Knot's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards. We need as many votes as possible between now and April 30th so tell your friends and family to vote, too!

I want to extend a special thanks to Erin and Marshall for allowing me to create such beautiful stationery for their big day, to Brenda at Studio 131 for taking such HOT photos at the wedding and reception, to Brandy J and Sticky with Brandy J Photography for shooting some amazing images of my work post-wedding and my lovely husband, Ilario, for cheering me through the submission process. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
