When Eric and I started planning for our wedding, I would ask him what he thought about a centerpiece or bridesmaid dress and you know what his answer was every time, "I don't care. I thought all I had to do was ask you to marry me and I was done." Little did he know, he was not and is not done yet :-)

Groom's Check List
One Year In Advance
Decide time and reception
Set a budget
Six to ten months in advance
Meet with the officiant
Plan honeymoon
Four to six months in advance
Find transportation to reception
Purchase wedding attire (shoes, cufflinks)
Get measurements for tux
Two to four months in advance
Choose song for mother/son dance
Buy groomsmen and usher gifts
Two months in advance
Book rooms for out of town guests
Get marriage certificate (You'll need your bride present for this one, too!)
One month to go
Confirm honeymoon reservations
Two weeks in advance
Finalize rehearsal dinner plans
Confirm hotel reservations for wedding night
One week and counting
Pack for honeymoon
Pick up tux
