Rue La La

Remember when I needed help choosing a dress?  Well all three of those Phoebe Couture dresses were available online at Rue La La - the most fantastic place on earth (next to Disney if you ask the public and next to Charleston, SC if you ask me).  Actually, it isn't a place, it's an exclusive invitation-only web site where members can shop designer sales (and I mean SALES) for a very limited time.  Recently I've perused sales by Nambe', Vera Wang's Lavender Label and of course, Phoebe Couture!

Wedding Album

Almost two months ago Ilario and I headed to Van Wert to hang out with Sticky of Brandy J Photography and to pick up our much-anticipated wedding album.  It took us months (more like nearly an entire year) to narrow down the images from our big day, but when Brandy J and Sticky worked their magic the final product was literally jaw-dropping!  We are in LOVE with our albums and I was also so IN LOVE with the beautiful zebra-print wrapping that it was sad to tear it open!

We choose a 10" x 10" album with Japanese Book Cloth (a GREAT alternative to leather!) in Endive with an inset photo of our monogram cling art on the front door to the church - our monogram was the piece that tied our entire wedding together.  The branding is our wedding date in copper, which was also a very common theme that showed up throughout our decor.  We also ordered two smaller 8" x 8" albums for our parents with the same layout.  The cover is the same Japanese Book Cloth minus the inset photo - our wedding date in branded in it's place instead of on the spine.  Love it - thanks so much, Brandy J and Sticky!

A Touching Moment

The other day my WeddingAces's post "A Tribute to Fathers. . ." went up in celebration of Father's Day, but today I came across what would have been the perfect addition to my photo tribute.  

I just couldn't help sharing it - what a beautiful moment captured by Jenna Walker Photographers.  I hope that all the daddies out there enjoyed their special day yesterday!!

Too Sweet Not to Share. . .

I just got this lovely e-mail from a bride (and good friend) who's getting married the last weekend in June. . .

My pastor, upon getting her invite for our wedding, called my mom and said that she is really excited for our wedding.  Based on the looks of the invite, she thinks our wedding should be a lot of fun!  (You should know that weddings are my pastor's least favorite pastorally duties so for her to feel this way about the invites is HUGE!)  You've captured just what we wanted to convey to our guests! Diane It truly means so much to me to hear something so kind.  I am reminded why I love my job SO very much when I hear how happy a design has made someone! Can't wait for the big day, Diane - you and Devin are going to make the most spectacular husband and wife!!

Hot to Trot Head Shots

Two Sundays ago Ilario and I headed to Van Wert so I could have some shots taken for my site by the SO AWESOME Brandy J and Sticky of Brandy J Photography.  And every time we leave these two we can't wait to hang out with them again - this was certainly no exception!!

Well the shots are all finished and ready for you to see (just a few of them though - you'll have to wait to see more on the baci site and Wedding Aces!).  My hair and makeup was done by the uber talented Jordanne Clyde - the woman is AMAZING and a blast to be around :)  I also divulged where all of my outfits and accessories are from in case you're interested.

Thanks so much Brandy, Sticky and Jordanne - I had so much fun!  And a big thanks to my hubby for making me laugh for pictures and driving us three hours back home at 9:00 PM when you had to work the next day - you're the best husband and chauffeur a girl could ever ask for!!

Katie & John - 05.09.09

My cousin, Katie, and her fiance, John, asked me to create their stationery all the way back in July of last year for their May 2009 wedding. Obviously, I was SO excited to take on the task, especially since John and Katie are quite possibly the nicest, most sincere people I have ever come across.

I don't have images of the rockin' stationery that we created yet, but I do have some of the amazing shots Ksenia Bruner of Eighth Day Photography took on the big day. I am SO in love with the yellow and green combo - Katie and John did such a great job with everything!

Akron-Canton HOT LIST Update

Sadly, baci didn't win Best Invitations on the Akron-Canton HOT LIST. . . however, we did come in Second which is pretty darn good for a business created a year and a half ago with one very trusting client :)  So I just wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your votes and kind words - you are all AMAZING!
