baci's babies | Greyson Thomas

What a better way to take a step back into blogging than with our own little bundle of joy!  Greyson Thomas arrived on Tuesday, January 22nd at 1:38 pm weighing in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces (much smaller than everyone had anticipated) and 22 inches in length.  Thankfully they were also wrong about his 98th percentile head :)

I love when I get to take the time to create things for people I love and designing Greyson's Birth Announcements was such a special time for me.  I love the way his handsome, smooshy face is so peacefully captured in the beautiful photo by our dear friend Margaret of Janicki Photography.  She created the perfect images for me to start with!

We're incredibly happy to be blogging again, though with the new addition we will likely only post a day or two a week going forward.  Also, we'll be pulling back a bit on all of our features - the focus will be more on the fun work we're doing for clients (and ourselves!).  Things will be ever changing over these next several months so check back often to see all the great ideas and projects we're cooking up!

Cursaro Holiday, Pet + Maternity Session | Photo Shoot by JaNicki Photography {Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio}

A few months back we had the pleasure of having our photos taken by the lovely Margaret of JaNicki Photography for our annual holiday card - we even snuck in time for some fabulous images of Morris and a mini-maternity shoot!  I'm so thankful to have such talented friends - I just love the way everything turned out!!

The first set of photos also serve as sort of an unveiling of our newly decorated bedroom.  Re-doing our Master was at the top of my "To Do Before Baby Arrives" List because I knew if we didn't do it now, we never would.  I'm so happy it's all set to go :o)  A new upholstered bed with nailhead trim from Skyline Furniture, a bedroom suite from Ikea - The HEMNES series in grey-brown, lamps from Bed Bath & Beyond (that I sought out for months!), shades I instantly fell in love with from Target (they inspired most of the re-design), the perfect bench for the foot of our bed (one similar), new curtains and rods all made our original duvet and quilt set (here's one similar) really come together!  Check out the few items still on my wish list to complete the room with My Current Wish List | The Master Bedroom tomorrow!

Baci has had another incredible year and I feel blessed to be part of my sister's company. I couldn't be more proud of her for doing what she loves every day!! She has let me be a big part in helping with events and an even bigger part in blogging.

1}  Baci Designs | Jami + Eric's Wedding {Defiance, Ohio} - A little biased on this post because I wrote it and I finally got to share my wedding pictures with all of Baci's followers!! It felt amazing getting to show all of you what I had been ranting and raving about when planning my wedding, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed showing you!!

2}  Handpicked | Caitlin's Dream Office - There are a few reasons for why I love this post!!! 1 - Because Baci had the opportunity to have an intern who could help us with blog posts (like this one)!! 2 - Because she has killer taste in items 3 - Who doesn't want a dream office AND 4 - I'm jealous that I didn't think of any of those ideas!!

3}  Handpicked | Photographers - I believe this was my most enjoyable yet challenging post I did!! I have a love for photography, so when Amanda gave me the go on doing this post, I needed to prepare myself to narrow it down to only NINE photographers who I admire!! It was very hard, but well worth it!!!

4}  Amanda + Ilario | Photo Shoot by Arielle Doneson Photography {Wooster, Ohio} - Again, I might be a little biased because it's my sister and Ilario, however, I love getting to see them so happy together!! Whenever I get to see someone capture my brother-in-law with a true smile and my sister with her gorgeous looks, I LOVE it!!!

Baci Designs | Mandy + Nic's Photostrip Save the Date {Akron, Ohio}

One of my ultimate favorite designs ever was Mandy and Nic's Photostrip Save the Date - not only was it adorable, but it truly showcased Mandy and Nic's fun personalities and the fabulous wedding they were planning!!

Printed on photo paper to resemble a photo booth strip (with their amazing engagement photos by Carman & Pugh Photography), the save the date was finished off with twine holding a small circle printed with a heart design Nic has been drawing for (and all over, lol!) Mandy since day one.  The black linen envelope handwritten in white ink was the perfect touch!

As happy of an occasion as weddings are, it can still be a little tough for all the dads out there. It's nice to remind him that you'll always be his little girl :) My dad and I spent many weekends traveling to softball tournaments together and I know he would love a picture like this. I'm totally doing this when I get married!

Trash The Bridesmaid Dress Shoot

Back in action again, Pea Pod Photography, out of Archbold, Ohio shot a "Trash the Bridesmaid Dress" Session, which I happened to be in :) We went to Flordia, Ohio where there is a gorgeous waterfall and amazing scenery to do a fun shoot! It was fabulous to do another shoot with Ashley, she didn't let me and my friends down....considering towards the end of the shoot it started pouring down rain!!!

We brought a few fun props along with us, like balloons to add some fun color. 

We did a quick change into our rain boots :) 

Oh ya, near the end of our photo shoot, we used chalk dust to throw all over eachother :)

The day that your boyfriend proposes to you is something you'll never forget and everyone always wants to know how it happened! Well, why not show them?! Tell your best friend to hint to your future husband that he should hire a photographer to catch the proposal in action :) This photo from Gruber Photography, captured the moment so nicely. This is definitely an idea to keep in mind!

Special Edition :: Behind the Scenes at Our Chevron-inspired Shoot

Yesterday, our 1970's Chevron-inspired Bridal Shower Shoot was featured on 100 Layer Cake and we honestly could not be more thrilled!!  The day of the shoot we enlisted the talents of Margaret at JaNicki Photography to capture some of the moments behind the scenes so people could see what goes into making a Styled Shoot happen.  It's really awesome to look back at these photos and see all of the amazing people that made this all possible.

I love having the opportunity to work with other talented designers and Elizabeth of Studio | Seventy-Nine is without a doubt crazy talented - not only is she a fabulous photographer, but she is also an amazing graphic designer!  Elizabeth designed these beauties herself and then we had them printed on the gorgeous kraft stock - the finished product turned out perfectly :o)

Special Edition :: Happy Wedding Day Brittany!

My best friend is getting married today!!!!!!

The girl I have been calling "B.White" for nearly fifteen years of my life will soon change to "B.Screeton", even though it doesn't have the same ring to it, ha I am SO HAPPY for her. Brittany has found her Mr. Right and she hasn't stopped smiling since. And I can't wait to see how big her smile gets today, on her wedding day!! 

I thought it would be fun and appropriate to do a little "time travel" of Brittany and I :)
