Handpicked | A Guy's Wishlist

It's that time of year again! All you ladies might be wondering "I hope Ilario gives his yearly wishlist soon so I know what to get my special guy this year." Well, without further adieu, here are some products that I would not mind getting this year for Christmas (hint, hint) and I hope there are some gift ideas for your man in the kerfuffle below.

1) T-Shirts!: Last year I directed many of you to 6dollarshirts.com and as I would recommend them again, you may also want to check out T-Shirt Hell (warning!) and Mental_Floss for additional t-shirt ideas.
2) James Bond Ultimate Collector's Set: Yep, you read that right. I'm talking 42 discs of James Bond goodness. 21 movies starting with Dr. No and ending with the 2006 Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig. Each movie has an additional disc of bonus features.
3) Streaming Media Player: With the rise of Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, and cable/satellite bills, it has become more and more common place for individuals to have a computer connected to their TV or to use gaming systems like XBOX and PS3 for uses other than actual gaming. If you have any of the above mentioned accounts or use your gaming system to watch movies, a streaming media player may be for you. I have linked a chart with information with multiple options. Find which you feel is better for your needs and visit that particular website for purchasing information.
4) Bluetooth Handset Gloves: Oh my! Not sure what my initial reaction would be to a person talking into their gloves, but I am sure once I understood what was going on, I would have many questions for that person. First off being, "Where did you get those?" The Answer: Right here :)
5) Micro-Plus EX 9-in-1 Multi-tool: I have found myself looking for a pair of pliers or a screwdriver while being outside of the home more times than I care to count. With a nice little tool like this one ... Problem solved!
6) Board Games & Puzzles: Going a little low-tech here, but there is nothing wrong with a good game night with family and friends to warm a cold winter evening. I have only recently stumbled upon Mental_Floss and when I got to the board game / puzzle section, I was unable to choose one (heck I couldn't narrow it down to less than 10) choice
7) Deluxe Valet: If your man likes to be organized and you have the desk space, this valet might do the trick! All of his essentials will have a place and a place for all his essentials. If you want to take it to the next level, there is also a Leather Valet w/ Watch Case or a Men's Valet + Charging Station.
8) Natural Wooden Watch: I just recently bought a new watch, but watches are like shoes to women ... Can you really have too many? These are the first natural wood watches I've seen and I have to say that I'm intrigued. They are also available in BrownBeige and Two-Tone. If you happen to buy one, I would love an email or comment as your thoughts on it's quality.
9) Car/Bike Smartphone Mount: Is your guy a driver or a rider (or both)? Smartphones have become such a staple in everyone's life that it is impossible to go for any length of time without checking the latest facebook/twitter-verse happenings. Smartphones however, are also useful for navigation and exercising with apps like endomondo and nike+ it only makes sense to have that phone attached to your windshield or bike handlebars. While you are at it, you may even want to get your man holder for their  arm or forearm for running or weightlifting. There are so many options out there, so I did not necessarily want to point you in the direction of one over the other, however, all are easily accessible with a quick search engine search.

Thank you for taking the time to read my yearly post and I hope that you have found some useful gift-giving ideas.

Handpicked | Autumn Interiors

My personal preference for home decor includes autumn colors and a rustic feel. It's a great way to make a home feel warm and welcoming :)

1) I think that these red and brown hues from Design Seeds compliment each other well. The plum color is also a nice accent color!
2) I absolutely love these lanterns and they can be found in so many different designs. This particular set from Save-on-Crafts keeps the rustic feel with wooden frames.
3) This wooden and leather ottoman from Pottery Barn is a great piece for a family room or lounge.
4) A big cabinet set from Pottery Barn is perfect for any room in the house! So much storage and a great way to tie the room together :)
5) The iron mirror from Bed Bath and Beyond helps fill some wall space.
6) Some wooden frames, like these from Craft Warehouse can personalize your space.
7) Ladder Shelves are awesome! I already have some :) These are from Art & Artifact.
8) I've always liked the look of a big clock above the mantel. Here is a great DIY idea from RemodelingTherapy!
9) A homemade star like this one adds character to a room.

Handpicked | Local Northwest Ohio Stores

It's We Love Local Week here on baci's blog!  Check back each day this week for great local (Northeast and Northwest Ohio) finds, food and fashion - enjoy :o)

A few weeks ago I brought you my top nine photographers, well this week I am bringing you nine of my favorite local (Northwest Ohio) places to shop for unique, custom, or vintage items that may be secondhand and for a great price :) AND amazing places to eat that are right here in my town!!

1) The Bees Knees - A Vintage Handmade Boutique located in Bryan, Ohio. I came upon her site when I realized she was opening a store on the square in Bryan and I was of course happy because that meant another place to shop :)
This is just a little bit of an idea for you of the items she sells. Things change daily though :)

2) The Old Red Barn located in Defiance, Ohio. I have personally never been here but I haven't heard one bad thing about this place and the pictures they have up of their items look amazing!!!
This is just one of their newest items :)

3) Green Awning Gallery Gifts in Stryker, Ohio. I have been here and it's worth my 45 minute drive every time, they never disappoint me with new items.
The outside of the building :)

4) Zelena Handmades located in Fort Wayne, Indiana- A girl that graduated with my sister started up this custom design business where she uses old ties, shirts, or anything that can be "re-used" and she makes anything from pursues to diapers bags.
How many people do you know that can make an old tie into a wristlet for ladies :)
You can also go to her "shop" to look around.

5) Bill's Locker Room III located in Bryan, Ohio - This is a sports store that can make any custom order!!!

Just one of the many custom orders they have made for a Fairview High School event. Check them out on facebook :)

6) Saks Thrift Avenue located in Bryan, Ohio (and also just opened a place called Savvy Thrift Avenue in Grand Rapids) - They have a lot of custom made items as well as old, vintage items. I go here a lot after work and spend way too much time and money in here :)

These chalk boards (and they also have dry erase boards) are probably my favorite items in here!!! They have them all year around and will make a custom order.

7) The Komfort Tea Spot located in Defiance, Ohio - This is not only a fabulous place to get tea but it's also owned by my best friend's mom!!! It's just such a cute shop, nice to sit down and relax after work!!

8) A Little Slice of Heaven located in Defiance, Ohio - Best cheesecake ever!! I have had this amazing cheese cake for the last few years at Christmas because my Aunt is good friends with the owner, however, Mary did not open her store until about a year ago.

Check her out on facebook :)

9) Pretzelady located in New Bavaria, Ohio - I have seen her food featured at some local shops (like The Bees Knees Boutique) and it looks amazing!!!
Look how cute and creative this is!!

The reason I picked these nine stores is because I haven't came across another one and I find them unique and amazing in our "little" town :)

4) Date night in a jar from lifeinthegreenhouse.com - How cute!! I must do this for Eric and I.
5) Yogurt Strawberries from glamour.com - Two of my favorite things, yogurt and strawberries :)
6) Wooden Frame from shelterness.com - My mom and I made this frame and it turned out amazing!!
7)  On the go bags from bhg.com - What a perfect idea for kids, maybe even some adults, ha.
8) Wedding Picture from jeremyigo.com - Didn't this make you laugh, I wish I would have thought of this!!
