baci's baking - Banana Toffee Pizza

A little change of pace today - on to a delicious dessert! You can't help but love Pampered Chef products, but have you ever taken a look at their recipes? Absolutely wonderful! This one is tweaked from a favorite of mine from a while back - enjoy!!

Banana Toffee Pizza

1 (18 oz.) package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (1.4 oz.) bars chocolate-covered toffee candy, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup toasted, sliced almonds, coarsely chopped
2 medium bananas, sliced
1/4 cup dulce de leche ice cream topping or hot caramel ice cream topping

1) Preheat oven to 350°F.
2) Shape cookie dough into a ball and place in the center of a lightly floured baking stone; flatten slightly. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to within 1 inch of edge.
3) Bake 20-22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes. Carefully loosen cookie from stone and cool completely.
4) In a medium bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth.
5) Add brown sugar; mix until well blended.
6) Fold in whipped topping and spread evening over cookie.
7) Immediately before serving, slice bananas and spread evenly over filling.
8) Sprinkle candy and toasted almonds (to toast - microwave on high 5-7 minutes or until golden brown, stirring after each 30-second interval).
9) Drizzle ice cream topping over pizza.
