Wedding Wednesday | DJ + Christy's Rehearsal Dinner Stationery {Wickliffe, Ohio}

I love creating pieces of stationery for other events of a couple's wedding weekend so working on these Rehearsal Dinner Invitations was a fun project for me!  I love the simple elegance of the suite - absolutely perfect :o)

Wedding Wednesday | Jenny + Mike's Custom Wedding Stationery {Baton Rouge, Louisiana}

 You've definitely seen these gorgeous Louisiana natives here on baci's blog before - we previously shared our own photos of Jenny and Mike's gorgeous stationery and we even gave you a sneak peek when we introduced you to their darling daughter Carson Clare (they should be having Baby Enlow #2 literally any day now - yay!!), but you haven't seen it all yet!  So enjoy the full set of stationery, with a few fun reception extras!!

The entire invitation suite was digitally printed on smooth white stock and complimented with a gorgeous metallic green envelope finished off with beautiful patterned labels.  Jenny and Mike's custom logo was seen literally everywhere from the invite to the program, which you can see in detail below :o)

Once again - I'll never grow tired of wrap-around labels and having an interior envelope to match just makes me even happier!

When Jenny came to me with her unique invitation idea I was smitten - the folded photo invite was perfect for their fun, flirty personalized wedding :o)

I also had the great pleasure of creating a rehearsal invitation suite to coordinate with their other stationery - we used the same color scheme and patterns, but with a bit more focus on black.  We even designed a matching place card!

Love, love, love custom address embossers - it's something the bride and groom can keep forever!

The reception glassware and reserved table signs were also a new request for us (which we LOVE by the way - if you have a vision we can make it happen!) - they turned out so great, in fact I adore them so much that I display them in my office still today :o)

Jenny and Mike have been such wonderful, loyal clients - we love working with them each time they're celebrating an event and are so happy to now call them friends!!  That's probably the best part of my job - I get to meet so many wonderful people (no matter where they're located) and after they've become clients they usually end up as friends :o)

We're Still Here!

Hi!  Amanda here :o)

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts this week, it's prime time here in the studio prepping for all of our October weddings (Jami's included - yay!!!) so things have been a little hectic and blogging has unfortunately had to take a back seat.  We'll be back to our regular posting schedule tomorrow though!

Here's what we've been up to this week:

1}  We mailed Kristie and Dustin's invitation suite!  Remember the "Real Wedding Planning" Post from last year?  Yep, that's them!  We are so excited to finalize the planning details for their wedding this September :o)

2}  I designed, printed, assembled (aren't you intrigued to see what assembly was required?!?!?) and mailed Jami's Bridal Shower Invitations.  My mom, Eric's mom, our best friend (pretty much our sister - lol!) Sarah and I are throwing Jami a Rustic Milk and Cookies themed bridal shower inspired by Love and Lavender's Styled Shoot.  Remember the fun inspiration board (above) I created from the beautiful photos?  I can't wait to share all the incredible details we have planned for the party!!

3}  We've been putting the finishing touches on several client's invitations:

 - Kathryn and Dylan's Traditional Letterpress Suite
{Not only is this our first letterpress suite (YAY!!), but we are lucky enough to be working with Kseniya of Thomas-Printers!!}

- Meghan and Fred's Willow Tree Seeded Stock Suite
{I have had such a blast personalizing this suite with both Meghan and Fred - it's going to be lovely!}

- Lisa and Mike's Damask Seeded Stock Suite
{Yes, the Seeded Stock is so cool that everyone has fallen in love with it!!  It fits Lisa's down-to-earth personality perfectly!}

- Jami and Eric's Vintage Monogram Suite
{We've collaborated with the incredible Laura Lavender on this one - you're going to fall in love!!!}

- Stephanie and Don's Modern Bling Suite
{Bling is right!  I can't wait to share!!}

- DJ and Christy's Rehearsal Dinner Suite
{Simple elegance on this one - SWOON!!}

4}  We've also been collaborating on a few things with the beautiful Louise of London's Bijoux Bride!  We're working on some fun symbols for her blog and I've written a guest post for her that will be live next week!  Be on the lookout :o)

5}  Tonight's Book Club so there will be a special baci's baking post next Tuesday and the third installation of baci's book club will be up Thursday!  If you haven't joined, you totally should - we're having a great time discussing our favorite reads :o)

I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted just writing all of that out - lol!  Anyway, we truly appreciate your patience while we work through what has been the busiest time of baci so far (YAY!!).  We couldn't do this without all of you!  Thank you!!

baci's babies | Carson Clare

I apologize for my serious slacking on the promised new feature from last year - baci's babies, where we take a look back at past wedding client's big days as they start having babies and sneak a peek at their gorgeous new little ones. I'm beginning a catch up (not ketchup ;) ) phase right now though!!

First off is Miss Carson Clare, born to not-just-wedding-clients-but-friends Jenny and Mike on June 14, 2010 at 10:58 pm weighing in at 5 pounds exactly and 18 inches long. I couldn't pick just one photo of the lovely little lady because she is quite possibly the most adorable baby on the planet!! I just want to squeeze those little cheeks :o)

I couldn't help but share a few other shots of work I've done for Jenny and Mike in the past that will be featured on the new baci site, even though it hasn't quite been revealed yet. Consider this a sneak peek of all the goodness to come!!

Rehearsal Dinner Dress - My Current Wish List

Question: Is it really necessary to have a beautiful rehearsal dinner dress when you are going to be looking stunning a day later in your wedding dress?

Answer: YES!! You can look stunning two days in a row :-)

Even before picking out my wedding dress, I was already looking for a rehearsal dinner dress. However, there is no harm in wanting another wonderful dress to prep you for your big day. I picked four amazing dresses and would love for some feedback from baci designer followers.

1) Max and Cleo Strapless Dress from Dillards, $99 2) Pleated Neck Sheath Dress from Ann Taylor, $79.99 3) Silk Chiffon Arabelle Dress from J.Crew, $225 4) Silk Chiffon Sophia Dress from J.Crew, $175

Wedding Wednesday | Jenny & Mike 07.24.09 {Baton Rouge, Louisiana}

We first met Jenny and Mike at Erin and Marshall's September 2008 wedding. Mike and Marshall knew each other growing up, so Marshall chose Mike as a groomsmen.

When Ilario and I arrived in Michigan the day of the wedding all of the groomsmen were hanging out in the room we were sharing with our friends. So instead of me prepping around a bunch of men, Mike offered his room to me since his girlfriend (Jenny!) was getting ready in there, too. Jenny and I were friends at first sight - she's the sweetest southern Louisiana girl in the world, it's impossible not to love her!

Since Mike was part of the wedding and none of us knew very many guests, she, Ilario and I partied it up during the post-ceremony activities while Mike did his bridal party thing. Even then Jenny just knew she wanted me to do her wedding stationery - just as soon as Mike asked that is!

Well a few months passed and Jenny contacted me to design her personal stationery - which turned out beautifully - so we were able to stay in close touch. Then in December of last year Jenny sent me an e-mail entitled "Good News" and I knew exactly what that meant!! They were engaged on Thanksgiving and had officially set a wedding date! The girl was ready to plan and plan we did ;)

I couldn't have asked for more spectacular clients or friends - Jenny and Mike are such kind-hearted and driven people. Anyone would be blessed to know them! They've even dove into the wedding business themselves. Right before their July wedding they fell in love with the idea of photobooths, so they decided to start their own photobooth company!! Their wedding was their first go-round. In August, Loco Photo Booths was officially born and I was lucky enough to work on their logo and business cards, too.

I wish Jenny and Mike nothing but the best in life and their new business venture!!

Jenny and Mike's lime, black and white color theme, as well as their custom-designed "jenny & mike" monogram, was continued throughout all of their wedding stationery - even Jenny's Bridal Shower invitations.

The rehearsal dinner invitations were taken to the next level with a return address embossmente. To differentiate the invitations from that of the wedding, we choose a Stardream Onyx envelope - hot, hot, hot!
We kept the rehearsal dinner invitation suite simple - your eye is drawn perfectly to the couple's names and their wedding date.
The wedding invitation suite was just to die for! The lime green metallic envelopes were complimented with the uniquely designed wrap-around labels (my absolute favorite thing to make!!).
Jenny had so many fabulous ideas, like incorporating a gorgeous photo of their two smiling faces on their invite. When folded to a 5" x 7" their monogram was the only writing that showed above their picture on the invitation - it was perfect!
Baci also designed Jenny and Mike's ceremony program. I just love the simplicity of the front page - just the name of the church, their monogram and the wedding date!

These were by far the most fun things I've ever had a bride request! We put Jenny and Mike's custom monogram on 12 oz. plastic cups and stemmed wine glasses - they turned out fabulous, I just love it!!!
