Guest Wish List | All the Little Details

I'm always so thankful to have Guest Posters and having a friend want to be a guest a second time on the blog is just blissful!!  Layla of All the Little Details (formerly of Simply Savannah Events) was kind of enough to write this fabulous Wish List in January which I promptly forgot to post in all the baby excitement (which we'll be making a formal announcement of the little guy soon, I swear!). . . and since a) it's a really great list and b) it's still totally relevant because you all know we'll have at least one more nasty bit of weather, I'm bringing you her "Winter Survival" Wish List today!  Thank you again, Layla - you're the best!

I did pretty well on my last Wish List post, my husband made me a Keep Calm and Carry On sign for Christmas 2011, I bought a Savannah throw blanket for my mother in law this Christmas 2012 and also got a pink Savannah clutch from Savannah Toile, plus I won a Scentsy plug in and love trying out new scents, lastly I bought an iphone and put lots of music on it!

Big changes for me too since this last guest post....I recently sold Simply Savannah Events and moved way up to the Adirondacks in Northern New York this year so my wish list is going to be items to get me through the COLD winter!

1)  These boots are just so pretty and I love that they have the warm knit ankle detail! They would be more of a social shoe and not super practical for slushy wet thick snow, so that is why I have #2 on my list.
2)  These are very practical and I should probably buy a pair if I want to do any snow angels.
3)  I'll be spending many snowy weekends inside probably watching DVDs and Notting Hill is one movie I don't have yet and so want it! I just can't get enough of this scene, but you have to watch the movie, it's a classic chick flick!

4)  Also great for a cold winter day would be this amazing book! Man I can't wait to get my hands on this book, "Style Me Pretty Weddings: Inspiration and Ideas for an Unforgettable Celebration". So much eye candy!!

Guest Post :: baci's baking | Nutella Banana Bread - Chandra of Oh Lovely Day

I'm so thankful for our friend Chandra of Oh Lovely Day - she's put together one yummy baci's baking post for you all!!  Be sure to head over to Chandra's site to see its new look - I'm in absolute love :o)

Hi Baci Design readers!  I'm Chandra from Oh Lovely Day and today I'm sharing one of my favorite baking recipes: Nutella Banana Bread!  It is possibly the yummiest thing I've ever baked.  Enjoy!

Nutella Banana Bread

2 cups flour
3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 over ripe bananas
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 tbs unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup Nutella

1)  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Grease 3 loaf pans.
2)  In a large bowl combine dry ingredients.  Set aside.
3)  In a medium bowl, combine the mashed banana, eggs, butter, and vanilla.  Gently add the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Batter will be thick and lumpy.
4)  In a microwave safe bowl, heat the nutella for about 15 seconds, stir, and heat for another 15 seconds to make the nutella smooth.  Set aside.
5)  Divide half the batter among the three pans.  Spoon half the Nutella over the batter filled pans and using a butter knife, swirl the Nutella.
6)  Evenly divide the remaining batter and repeat the Nutella swirl with the remaining Nutella.
7)  Bake for 25-30 min. or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.  Slice and eat!

I like to cover at least one loaf in foil and freeze for another time.  Do it before you eat all three!

Lovebird Productions | Guest Wish List

I love the little bit of Southern Charm today's lovely lady brings to my life.  The oh-so-sweet Katie of Lovebird Productions (this woman is not only an awesome videographer, but she runs a great blog, people - you must check it out!) is up today with some serious greatness of a wish list!!  Let's wish her a happy early 25th birthday and pretend that doesn't make me feel old even one teeny bit ;o)  Thanks so much for sharing, Katie!!

Hey y'all! Thanks for letting me share my current wish list with you today. Who doesn't like daydreaming about our favorite trends?

In a little under two months I will be celebrating my 25th birthday. For those of you who don't know me, birthdays are celebrated like national holidays complete with champagne, dancing and a new make me feel so pretty dress. Hopefully this year I get to celebrate with a few cupcakes, my loved ones and maybe a thing or two on this wish list.

1. I love this blue chair. Ever since I started blogging a year ago I have been searching and bottom testing the perfect chair. I haven't found "the one" but I think this blue number could be a top ranker.

2. This lip tint is amazing y'all! I recently got it in my May birchbox and I am addicted. I apply mutliple times a day.

3. I love a good pair of wedges. Target never fails me.

4. I have been secretly wanting to splurge on this custom clutch. I am a big fan of Oatmeal and Lace.

This has been such a fun post. I hope my husband reads this! ;) Thanks again for letting me share and happy, happy Friday!

Oh Lovely Day | Guest Wish List

We have a special Guest Wish List for you today - the beautiful and talented Chandra of Oh Lovely Day, one of my favorite wedding blogs, is here sharing her current "must haves"!!  I adore everything Chandra does over at Oh Lovely day and she constantly inspires me, not only in her business, but as a stay-at-home momma and wifey :o)  Now check out the truly lovely items she's wishing for - enjoy!

1) Blogger Sweatshirt: I've been obsessed with this "blogger" sweatshirt since I first laid eyes on it. Since I work from home as a blogger and a stay-at-home momma full time I can wear it to work :)

2) Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S Camera: I like to pretend I'm a photographer and love taking pictures. I also always loved polaroid cameras (and even had one at my wedding with film bought on ebay). I'd love to have this updated version to collect special moments and have instant "retro" prints to display!

3) Trip to Kauai: My husband and I haven't been on a real vacation since our honeymoon (almost 3 years ago!) and we haven't had a family vacation since our son was born. I've been dreaming of going back to Kauai because it is the perfect relaxing place for a family with a toddler. And I really need a vacay!

4) Matching iPad and iPhone covers: These neopolitian covers would really perk up my plainly dressed (or naked!) iPad and iPhone. This etsy shop has tons of adorable options!

Tweet-à-Tête {Interview Featured on the TWIPS Blog}

I've been very blessed on so many levels this year and a reason behind a lot of those blessings started with being a part of TWIPS {Twitter Wedding Inspiration Pals} - an incredible group of women in the wedding blogging/vendor world.  It was through TWIPS that I "met" (we haven't actually been together in person, but I feel like I know her - lol!) Shannon Kelley - you've recently seen incredible photography featured on baci's blog.

Shannon and I initially worked on a styled shoot together (I can't wait to it - so many amazing details!!) which then turned into a decision to do a Tweet-à-Tête together - where two TWIPS members interview one another.  The post went live on Sunday - we put such a fun twist on the normal questions, you really must read it :o)  And if you haven't checked out the rest of the TWIPS Blog, it's a great source for inspiration!  It's been such an honor getting to know Shannon who right now is putting the pieces in place to move her family to Haiti to do mission work. . . follow her journey here on her blog.  So thank you for everything, Shannon, and best of luck!!  You have such an amazing journey ahead of you!!

Simply Savannah Events - Guest Wish List

We're back at it again today with another fabulous Guest Wish List!!!

Layla Mayville of Simply Savannah Events, located in one of my favorite places on earth - the low country, is gracing us with her awesome Wish List today.  Layla is not only kind and oh-so-generous she truly has that eye for design people always talk about. . . and she's all about doing it as green as possible :o)  Check out her blog for incredible inspiration and some truly helpful advice.  Thank you so much for joining us today, Layla!!
Ever since I was a little kid I can remember having a wish list. Some things on that list were unreachable silly ideas and others were my "wants" which were outside of my budget. I always look back at Christmas time with my grandparents on my father's side and remember sitting on their living room couch, flipping through the Sears catalog, which was as big as a college textbook, dog earing all the toys and games I wanted. From an early age I've always wished for many things that I can't afford or have an endless list of "wants". Even now I always keep a list going or post them on to my cork board. I actually recommend keeping some sort of wish list since it's easy to give suggestions to people who need help with ideas of what to get you for Chrismukkah (I celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah), birthdays or Valentine's Day. Or keeping a wish list gives me incentive to save money in order to buy those items on the list. I currently have sooooo many things on my wish list right now, but here are the top 4 most affordable items:

1.  The Keep Calm and Carry On slogan and merchandise has swept the world and I'm on that bandwagon! I'm also a huge fan of Etsy artists and love to support them. I have this handmade, handpainted, solid wood sign on my wish list, but can't figure out which color I want to get. What's your favorite?

2.  The Savannah Toile totes are all handmade and the fabric features 7 beautiful scenes including the famous Davenport House, Cotton Exchange and the Forsyth Fountain. I want the small tote with lime green canvas.

3.  Scentsy warmers are very popular and for some reason I have not bought any yet. My neighbor sells them and I'm always wishing to place a order! Having a house that smells good is definitely very welcoming, so I usually have many different candles throughout the house. I like to have different scents depending on my mood, so buying Scentsy plugs in would be perfect for me since I could change the scents and they also serve a function as a night light.

4.  I'm always looking for new music to add to my iTunes list for listening to while working at the computer or working out at the gym. Here are a few great songs that are next on my list to purchase.
Someone Like You - Adele
Skyscraper - Demi Lovato
Every Ingrid Michaelson song!
Little Lion Man - Mumford & Sons
Head Full of Doubt - Avett Brothers
I will let you go - Daniel Ahearn
Home - Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros
99 Problems - Hugo
C’mon Talk - Bernhoft

Thank you for inviting me to your Guest Wish List Series!

Thank you, Layla!!!

Two Wedding Belles - Guest Wish List

I'm very happy to bring back a feature we did a few times last year that I LOVED - Guest Wish Lists!!  This week and next we have amazing ladies from even more amazing companies with, you'll never believe it. . . AMAZING Wish Lists ;o)

First up, the ever kind and sweet Jessica Kapadia of Two Wedding Belles - an Event Coordination Company in the Philadelphia/DC area!  Thank you so much, Jessica, for providing such cute things that we'll want to add to our own Wish Lists!

How excited was I when Amanda suggested I contribute to her Guest Wish List series for all you baci's blog readers out there? Super excited! I always seem to have my eye on a few items at any given time, so it was a blast to assemble them all in one place and spread the word on their loveliness.

1. What don't I love about this Kelly Green Girl bag from Alesya? It's leathery softness looks downright pillow worthy, it's just the right shade of green, and, oh yeah, it's also big enough to tote around my laptop. Is that what we call the bag trifecta? I think maybe it is.

2. This mini binder from Russel + Hazel just simlpy needs to find it's way into my bag (maybe even the Alesya bag mentioned above?). It's small enough to take with me everywhere and even has a dry-erase inside the cover. Genius! As far as picking a color from the linen and patent cover options available. . . now that's a task I don't think I'm quite ready for. But I'll get there someday.

3. Confession: I don't like my dining table. It's the one piece of furniture that remains from our condo's previous owner, and it just doesn't "go" with anything else in our de-luxe apartment in the sky. So of course I'm practically drooling over the Terra Dining Table from West Elm. I love the clean but substantial lines and the dark color. I guess I'd also love enough room to actually fit this table in our living space, but that'll just have to wait for another Wish List. . . !

4. It'll soon be time to start looking ahead to the new year out in front of us, right? What better way to flip through the months of 2012 than doing so with the uber-stylish letterpress calendar from Linda & Harriett? A big time bonus comes with this one, too: each unique design can also be used as a postcard once I say sayonara to that particular month. I have a spot on my desk that is already reserved for this baby.

Once again - a huge thank you to Jessica for her great post. . . I want, well, everything on your list ;o)  Especially that calendar - love, love, love the idea of the old months being recycled as postcards!
